“Necessity is the mother of invention”: All inventions and discoveries came into existence because of their immediate demand/necessity. The telephone, Mobile, Apps etc., every single invention occurred because of the demand of the circumstance. Whenever there is a vital need we try our best to satisfy it.
“Update: ZeroWaste is now InstaCash”
Every big or small company is following the same rule. As soon as a need flames up in the market, they try to put up the solution as quickly as possible. Every day, we see a new mobile is launched, a new application is added to the play store, and a new feature is annexed in any mobile or application. Here we are discussing three top tech updates by the market giants, taking into consideration the current requirements:
1) Facebook activates safety check feature: The biggest and most popular social networking giant Facebook has activated it’s safety check feature after the tragic and dreadful terrorist attack at Ataturk airport, Istanbul.
Facebook has sensed the pain of those crucial and stressful moments when your loved ones are in danger and you want to know whether they are safe or not, but feel completely helpless and clueless.
With this feature, the users can notify their friends and family by just taping at “I’m safe” button and can mark themselves safe if they are in the affected area at the moment. Users can also check whether their friends and family members are safe or not.
Facebook launched this feature in October 2014, and since then they have been deploying it on different occasions.
2) Navigation to multiple destinations in Google maps: The App was expected to update it’s new feature of navigating multiple destinations at one time, back in April. However, the feature has finally been served now in the plates of android users to enjoy.
Earlier the mobile App for the maps did not allow the user to navigate multiple destinations in a trip at one time which we used to do on the desktop version. But now, users just have to update to the latest version 9.31, of the Google maps to use this feature. The feature can be activated via a server-side switch, since there is no app update available on Google play store yet. We hope the update will soon be available on Google play store and we would be able to use the feature flawlessly. But still, there is no guarantee that the feature will work accurately.
The mobile version will exactly look like the desktop version. So until the new mobile version shows up you can take the help of desktop version. You just have to copy the URL and send it to yourself on your mobile via any medium (chat, text or mail). Once you click on the URL and choose to open it with Google Maps, the App will show you the multiple destination route navigation.
3) Flip between Hindi and English search result in Google India: Search Engine giant has taken a very smart move by offering this option to switch between Hindi and English language in the search result to cater the Indian Hindi- speaking population.
Users just have to type the question or query in English then he or she can switch the language by clicking the option to see the search result in Hindi. Google has confirmed the news that the new options tab for the search result is activated for the mobiles and soon will be on all the browsers except UCB and Opera Mini.
So keep on updating your apps and transcend to a more relaxing and easy mode of living. Soon ZeroWaste will also come up with its mobile app to make your life easier. Stay tuned….
