1.   Split-screen

Split Screen Mode allows you to view two apps on your phone at the same time. If you’re trying to copy and paste text from one app to another or want to watch a video while you doing some other work, you can do that with Split Screen Mode. The traditional Android way to do this involves opening an app and then holding down on the square button until the screen splits. You will see your open app on one side and be able to choose from recently used apps on the other. Tap on the one you want to use in split-screen mode.

New Android Pie phones comes with gesture navigation, in them the process is a little different. Swipe up on the home button to see your Overview. Tap on the icon at the top of the first app you want to use in split-screen mode. This opens a small menu. Tap on “Split screen.”

2.   Smart Lock:

It’s one of the important hidden features which can help you from having to enter your pin or password whenever you’re at home or at work. You can set it to keep your phone unlocked when you’re in a specific location, or you can keep it to unlock when connected to a specific Wi-Fi or Bluetooth.

To enable this feature you need to open Settings > Security > Smart Lock and enter your PIN code when prompted, then you can pick aspect of Smart Unlock you wanted to use.

Just keep in mind that if you have Smart Lock set to keep your phone unlocked at home, that means anyone you live with will be able to get into it.

3.   Change Language with Gboard:

Most of the people use Google’s default Gboard keyboard in their Smartphones. This keyboard is capable to put translations right at your fingertips. The handy way to use this feature: With the keyboard open, tap on the G symbol, This opens up an array of options there you need to click on the one that has a small G which looks like it’s folded over a symbol, which opens up a text box you can type into. So, Android 10 comes up with a feature in which you can display a QR code on your Smartphone’s screen that will allow your friends to scan and get  connect to your Wi-Fi network.

To create the QR code on your device, you need to open the Settings app and select Network > Wi-Fi then tap on the QR Code icon next to Add Network.

5.   Pin an app to the screen:

Giving your phone in someone’s hand is very risky when they want to search something online, Android came up with a new feature in which you can hand your phone to them with Chrome Open and Pinned to the screen. The app will stay pinned until you unlock it. It’s an important feature to keep someone else from exploring your device.

To enable this feature, you need to go to Settings, tap on Security & Location and then select “Screen pinning,” which you will find listed under Advanced settings. Enter Pin, pattern or password when it asks.

Then go to Chrome, if you’re using Android Pie, swipe up from the middle of the screen, tap the app icon and select the pin-shaped icon. It will ask for a confirmation. To unpin, touch and hold the angular Back button and the pill-shaped Home button and enter your PIN.
